Dubbed an "artistic chameleon," Payton Moledor is a vivacious performer currently based in Roanoke, Virginia where she is on the artistic team at Mill Mountain Theatre.

As a nationally-acclaimed lyric soprano, classically-trained actor, and accomplished dancer, this true triple threat can sing above the staff and recite sonnets in the same breath. Payton thrives theatrically in the crossroads between classic musical theatre and challenging new works.

For her international work as a performer, Payton was awarded the national 2020 Arlyn Brewster Award in Musical Theatre from the National Society of Arts and Letters as well as the Undergraduate Award for Excellence in the Arts from the University of Virginia.

She holds a diploma in Drama from the University of North Carolina School of the Arts, a certificate in Classical Acting from the London Academy of Music & Dramatic Art, and a Bachelor of Arts in Drama from the University of Virginia

"Other actors throw sparks of their own. Moledor, as Katherine, careens between hysterical and exultant as she tries to sit down and write the story that will make or break the strike – and her career." - Blowing Rock News, "Newies"

"While the siblings’ tension is Harvey’s strongest feature, lesser roles shine too. Payton Moledor is excellent as Myrtle Mae, Veta’s daughter who just wants a normal family." C-Ville Weekly, "Harvey"

“A highly motivated artist." UVA Drama Artistic Director for UVAToday

Both of these actors are very at home onstage. There was never a question in my mind that they’d be able to handle the roles, and they have.”" - Robert Chapel for The Cavalier Daily, "Urinetown"

"Payton Moledor is an artist who has never been afraid of expanding her horizons." UVA Arts
