Hi, I’m Payton! I'm a New York–based actor, singer, and dancer originally from Mount Airy, North Carolina.

 

I trained at the University of North Carolina School of the Arts, the University of Virginia, and the London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art, where I honed my love of Shakespearean monologues (most of them originally written for men), singing the highest soprano line in the score, and a good ballet barre. I received the Arlyn Brewster Award in Musical Theatre from the National Society of Arts & Letters and have performed in venues across the U.S. and internationally.
 

Some favorite credits include Evita at The REV Theatre Co., Maggie (u/s Cassie) in A Chorus Line at Short North Stage, and Madame de Garderobe in Disney’s Beauty and the Beast aboard Disney Cruise Line.

Offstage, I’m a crafter, thrifter, and enthusiastic morning person. I crochet, puzzle, read, take walks through my backyard of Riverside Park, and find joy in small creative rituals. Thanks for stopping by!
